Friends of The Retreat – Donate Today
At The Retreat New Zealand our vision is that recovery will be available for all New Zealanders who
want help and that the stigma of addiction will be overcome. We help individuals and families sustain
on-going recovery from addiction to alcohol and other drugs through a commitment to ensuring that
everyone has access to treatment. The Retreat NZ have set up a scholarship fund to assist those
who cannot afford the full fees.
We Are Raising Money For Our Scholarship Fund
Every cent donated goes direct to the Scholarship Fund – there are no admin fees or overhead costs.
As The Retreat NZ is a registered charity, a tax deductible receipt will be issued. The goal is to
provide a scholarship programme that enables The Retreat to offer 20% – 75% scholarship to those
who are unable to fully fund themselves.
Donate To The Recovery Tree & Support Our Scholarship Fund
By making a donation to the Recovery Tree you are supporting our scholarship programme which
assists those unable to afford it to fund their residential rehabilitation. Your donation will help

purchase as many leaves as you wish.
If you’d rather make a donation of a different amount you can do so on our GiveALittle page
Hear From One Of Our Scholarship Recipients
“I called the retreat a broken woman. I had relapsed throughout lockdown and I could see no way out
and I was scared for my life, I could not see the light of life through the darkness. I reached out to The
Retreat and I received a phone call from Baz at The Retreat. That morning, conversations had gone
on behind the scenes with Managers at The Retreat and I was told I had a place in Primary care and
I had received the gift of a scholarship. The relief was immense, Tears of joy ensued. I cannot thank
you enough for the gift of this scholarship. In my life I will strive to ‘Pay it forward” while living and
breathing AA and the 12 steps. If it had not been for this gift, I would be still battling the demon of this
disease of alcoholism. I would have lost my home and family. I believe I would be in hospital in a very
serious condition or dead without it.” – Stella, Alcoholic in Recovery
